Kitchen Display System (KDS)

A live screen in the kitchen that replaces paper tickets entirely, showing every order and its preparation status in real time.

RestroPod Kitchen Display System showing ticket columns by status

The Kitchen Display System gives kitchen staff a screen that lists every active order, grouped by status: new, in progress, and ready. There is no paper to lose and no ticket rail to manage.

Orders appear the instant they are placed and can be marked as done directly on the screen, which updates the front-of-house view so waiters know exactly when a dish is ready to serve.

KDS runs over your local network, so it works whether or not your internet connection is active. For kitchens handling multiple sections, tickets can be filtered by station so each cook only sees what belongs to them.
