System requirements and install steps
Check your device first. Then it takes four steps to get from sign-up to your first bill.
Windows
- Windows 10 (version 1803, the April 2018 update) or later, 64-bit
- Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. Our setup installs it for you if it is missing.
- A stable local network (LAN or Wi-Fi) to connect other devices and printers
Android
- Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later
- Bluetooth, if you want to use a Bluetooth thermal printer
- USB host support, only if you want a USB printer or scanner. It is optional.
What else you need
A thermal receipt printer, if you want printed bills. No server is needed.

Internet
- Every bill and every stock entry is saved on your computer first. You do not need internet to bill.
- The POS checks your license online from time to time. It must connect at least once every 5 days.
- If your plan ends, there is a short grace period. Your data stays on your computer.

Questions
Does RestroPod need a server?
No. No server is needed. Your data is kept on your own computer.
Which Windows version do I need?
Windows 10 version 1803 or later, 64-bit.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Billing works offline. The POS checks your license online at least once every 5 days.
Can I connect other devices?
Yes. Other approved devices connect over the same local network, according to your plan and the role you give them.
